Sensuous striations of magentas, blues, yellow and greens dance with each other, translating the hills and rugged coastline of Waitākere into a floating expanse of sea, sky and earth.

For over 60 years, pioneering abstractionist Gretchen Albrecht has encapsulated the experience of being within the Aotearoa landscape with her gestural sweeps of paint. Melding feeling, imagination and aesthetic instinct, her paintings do not depict landscapes, but instead offer sensory memories that shift and hum, long after the paint has dried.

Skydive conjures up images of sunsets so magical that they remain forever burned in your mind; of hills transforming from green, to pink, to inky blue as the sun dips from the sky.

First class top quality luxe jigsaw puzzle

Beautiful production. Great value. Rich strong colours, cleanly cut pieces, and the nice detail of a simple repeated pattern printed on the back. The box has a magnetic closure and a satin finish, and inside the box is a fabric bag to contain the pieces.
All worthy of this stunning painting. Made a fabulous gift.

Gretchen Albrecht puzzle

The perfect jigsaw experience. The most beautiful painting produced in exquisite colours and shading. Each piece was an art work almost. And each piece fitted exactly and held together so well you could move a group of pieces or the whole jigsaw. And luxurious attention to presentation with a magnetic clasp box and a cloth zipped piece bag. I thought I might need the lettuce print on the back to check the placing was correct but only once did I turn them over. The whole experience was a joy. Any jigsaw aficionado would be delighted.
