About Us

From a young age I have fond memories of doing jigsaw puzzles with my family. Every summer we would complete 1 or 2 or 3 in between lazy days spent on the beach. My Grandparents would always have a puzzle on the go no matter what time of the year it was, and my cousins, aunts and uncles and I would sit for a little while or a long while puzzling with them. The time spent doing this is some of my favourite memories of my childhood - quiet time with loved ones - just bliss.

Fast forward to 2022 and I am now a busy mother of two boys, wife and business owner. I started Sweet Pea Parties when my boys were babies in 2011 and we have grown to become New Zealand’s largest independent party and cake decorating store with 2 websites and a large format retail store in Hamilton. Life has never been busier! This year I went back to doing jigsaw puzzles to help me relax, unwind and switch off. And I have rediscovered my love of puzzling! 

I love puzzles that are different from the ones of my childhood. Beautiful artworks and illustrations that are bright and colourful, with high quality puzzle pieces. After struggling to find a constant supply of my new favourite brands of puzzles, I started The Jigstore. It’s my aim to bring you the best puzzles from New Zealand and around the world.
