This idyllic image is quintessential Judy Joel, evoking the community spirit and charm of all her work. Judy was brought up in Chichester, West Sussex. After leaving the BBC where she worked as a Production Assistant, she started to paint purely for her own and her children’s amusement. Out of the blue she was offered an exhibition in London and her paintings are now in collections all over the world. Somewhere in each of her paintings is the white-haired figure of her Mum with a dog.
